1964– Bardoli, Navsari, Porbandar, Surat.
4th Feb, 1965: First Inner Wheel District of India, No.75, formed. Founder Chairman: Mrs. Malti Rana. Founder Secretary: Mrs. Dipika Shah. It covered most of Rajasthan, North Gujarat and parts of Madhya Pradesh. In 1968-69, it was re-numbered as District 305.
In Maharashtra:
1963- Bombay
1965- Bombay North, Nagpur.
1966- Poona, Secunderabad, Chembur.
1966: Second Inner Wheel District of India formed. Founder Chairman: Mrs. Purviz Homi Banaji. In 1968-69, it was numbered as 315. It covered the state of Maharashtra and parts of Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
In South Karnataka:
1966- Bangalore, Mysore.
1967- Bangalore South.
1968- Bangalore North, Tumkur.
20th April, 1968: Third Inner Wheel District of India formed. No. 317-South. Founder Chairman = Mrs. Malathi R. Rao. It covered southern part of Karnataka.
In Northern India:
1965- Varanasi
1966- Agra, Allahabad, Muzaffarnagar.
1967- Aligarh, Bareilly, Simla.
5th Dec, 1968: Fourth Inner Wheel District of India formed. No. 310. Founder Chairman = Mrs. Meher N. Framjee. It covered the states of U.P., Haryana, Punjab, northern parts of Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir, and the Union Territory of Delhi..
In 1969, National Council of Inner Wheel Clubs in India & Sri Lanka was formed. Our National Council consisted of Mrs. Dipika Shah & Mrs. Sharda Pillai from District 305, Mrs. Dolly Irani & Mrs. Indumati Korke from District 315, Mrs. Meher N. Framjee & Mrs. Roshni Irani from District 310, and Mrs. Malathi R. Rao & Mrs. Prema Ullal from District 317-South.
Mrs. Malti Rana of District 305 was the first chairman of our National Council. Mrs. Malti Rana was appointed the I.I.W.R. to represent our country on the I.I.W. Board for the period 1969-70. In subsequent years, Mrs. Dipika Shah(Late), Mrs. Malathi Rao, Mrs. Meher Framjee, Mrs. Asma Mascati(Late) and Mrs. Nagamani Chandrashekhar became IIWR to represent our country on the I.I.W. Board.
The National Council met two times a year. The meetings were held by rotation in each District. The details of some of the meetings are as follows:

District 315 was bifurcated into District 315 and District 314.
District 317-South was re-numbered as District 318. It covered the clubs of South Karnataka. Mrs. Sheila Irani became the District Chairman.
District 320, consisting of the clubs in Kerala, Tamilnadu and Sri Lanka was formed.
District 314: Founder Chairman= Mrs. Silla Ardeshir. The clubs were: Akola(1967), Ambarnath(1967), Amravati(1968), Bombay(1963), Bombay Midtown(1969), Bombay North(1965), Bombay West(1967), Chembur(1966), Manmad(1967), Poona(1966), Thane(1969).
District 315: Chairman= Mrs. Rajani Rai. The clubs were: Anakapalle(1968), Deolali(1968), Kakinada(1967), Machliputnam(1969), Nagpur(1965), Nagpur East(1967), Rajahmundry(1968), Secunderabad(1966), Vijayawada(1968), Vishakhapatnam(1968).
District 320: Founder Chairman= Mrs. Seetha Rajamoni. The clubs were: Calicut(1967), Coimbatore West (1969), Colombo (1965), Colombo West (1966), Kandy (1969), Madras (1966), Madras South (1963), Palghat (1968), Quilon (1967), Ranipet (1968), Trivandrum (1967), Vellore (1967).
1971-72:
District 305 was bifurcated into District 305 and 306.
On 1st July 1971, District 310 was bifurcated into District 310 and 311. Mrs. Sushil Baljee became District Chairman of District 310.
The National Council consisted of eight Districts: 305, 306, 310, 311, 314, 315, 318, 320.
District 306: Founder Chairman= Mrs. Sharda Pillai. The clubs were: Anand (1967), Baroda (1964), Bardoli (1964), Bhavnagar (1967), Bhopal (1965), Billimore (1966), Broach (1967), Bulsar (1965), Godhra (1968), Indore (1967), Junagarh (1967), Nadiad (1965), Navsari (1964), Petlad (1965), Porbandar (1964), Rajkot (1966), Surat (1964), Umreth (1968).
District 311: Founder Chairman= Mrs. Sharda Bhargava. The clubs were: Agra(1966), Allahabad(1966), Aligarh(1967), Bareilly(1967), Gorakhpur(1968), Faizabad(1971), Kanpur West(1970), Mathura(1969), Rampur(1971), Varanasi(1965).

1973-74:
District 320 was bifurcated into Districts 320 and 321. The clubs in Sri Lanka were part of District 321.
March 1974: New District 317 was formed.
District 317: Founder Chairman: Mrs. Kamala Iyengar. The clubs were:
Sangli(1967), Satara(1965), Panjim(1973), Raichur(1972), Hubli(1973), Sirsi(1970).
District 321: Founder Chairman= Mrs. J.C. Nilgiris (Colombo). The clubs were: Alleppy(1970), Colombo(1965), Colombo West(1966), Kandy(1969), Kottayam(1972), Negombo(1972), Quilon(1967), Trivandrum(1967).
1977-78:
District 310 was bifurcated into District 310 and 309.
July 1977: District 318 was bifurcated into Districts 318 and 319.
District 329 was formed. It was numbered as District 325 at the time of formation.
District 309: Founder Chairman= Mrs. Minna Kapur. The clubs were: Bhatinda (1975), Chandigarh(1969), Delhi(1969), Delhi Mid Town, Delhi West, Amritsar, Faridabad, Gurdaspur(1972), Jammu, Mandi, Mansa, Pathankot(1972), Phagwara, Rajpura, Srinagar.
District 310: Chairman= Mrs. Kanti Manohar. The clubs were: Ambala, Ambala City, Dehra Dun, Delhi North, Delhi- Shahadra, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Hardwar, Jagadhari, Meerut, Moradabad, Muzaffarnagar, Simla, Solan.
District 319: First Chairman= Mrs. Anasuya Venson. The clubs were: Bangalore(1966), Bangalore East, Bangalore North(1968), Bangalore South(1967), Chamarajanagar, Chinthamani, Hindupur, Kadiri, Kolar, Kunigal, Nellore, Ramanagram, Tumkur.
District 329: Founder Chairman= Mrs. Arti Srimal. The clubs were: Calcutta South-West(1962), Calcutta South(1966), Guwahati(1967), Darjeeling(1973). The District 329 was initially numbered as District 325.
1985-86:
District 306 was bifurcated into Districts 304 and 306.
District 309 was bifurcated into Districts 307 and 309.
District 310 was bifurcated into Districts 301, 308 and 310. Some of the clubs of District 309 were merged into new District 301.
District 311 was bifurcated into Districts 311 and 312.
District 314 was bifurcated into Districts 313 and 314.
District 318 was bifurcated into Districts 316 and 318.
District 320 was bifurcated into Districts 320 and 323.
District 321 was bifurcated into Districts 321 and 322.
New District 325 was formed.
New District 326 was formed.
District 329 was bifurcated into Districts 328 and 329.

District 309: Chairman= Mrs. Purnima Vohra. The clubs were: Abohar, Bhatinda, Bhiwani, Hissar, Malerkotla, Mandi Gobindgarh, Mansa, Moga, Nabha, Patiala(1973), Rajpura, Samana, Sirhind, Sirsa, Sunam, Sri Ganga Nagar(1970).
District 310: Chairman: Dr. Madhuri Bhargava. The clubs were: Amroha, Bulandshahr, Chandausi, Khurja, Meerut(1969), Moradabad(1970), Moradabad(E), Muzaffarnagar(1966), Najibabad, Sardhana.
District 312: Founder Chairman= Mrs. Prabha Bajpai. District 325: Founder Chairman= Dr. Saraswati Devi. The clubs were: Darbhanga, Biharsharif(1985), Hazaribagh(1985), Gaya.
District 326: Founder Chairman= Mrs. Lalita Jain. The clubs were: Beripada(1983), Berhampur, Cuttack(1985), Dhenkanal, Jagdalpur, Raipur(1974).
1986:
PAP Mrs. Minna Kapur was elected President of I.I.W. for 1986-87.
1991-92:
District 314 was bifurcated into Districts 303 and 314. Few clubs of District 315 were added to it.

1992-93:
District 315 was bifurcated into Districts 302 and 315.
District 329 was bifurcated into Districts 324 and 329.

In July 1995, District 323 was bifurcated into Districts 298 and 323.
District 298: Founder Chairman= Mrs. Shymala Venkataraman. The clubs were: Chidambaram, Cuddalore, Karaikal, Krishnagiri, Kumbakonam(1980), Mayuram, Namakkal, Pondicherry(1984), Salem Midtown, Salem North, Thanjavur, Thiruthuraipoondi.
2006-07:
PAP Mrs. Kamala Ramakrishnan was elected President of I.I.W. for 2007-08.
